Anticipating fall

Fall is approaching quickly and I couldn’t be more excited. The weather, the tones, the flavors, seriously everything about fall warms my heart! If you’re a fall lover like myself or are not quite prepared for the coming season then this post is for you. I’m anticipating fall and this means getting my wardrobe, makeup and pretty much all aspects of my life prepared for this sweet and cozy season.

First comes Fashion

Out with the old and in with the new! Fall is approaching and beckons so many sweet things. You can bust out those cozy sweaters, not shave your legs every single day and wear your favorite scarfs to accessorize with. The colors become a bit more muted and bringing in black to every outfit becomes expected rather than acceptable. I’ve rounded up some of my new favorite fall trends that I hope give you fall-spiration.

Transitioning your closet

New season and new trends doesn’t mean you have to pack away all you’re summer clothes quite yet. Fall is the perfect transition from hot to cold and allows you to pair some of each seasons best. Simply throw on some jeans and a light cardigan with a favorite tank or pair a sweater with a skirt, that’s probably my favorite look.

Get outdoors

Fall is not only a beautiful time for a fashion upgrade but also a reminder for how beautiful our world can be. One of the main reasons why I love living in North Carolina is being able to experience every season to its full. Each tree’s unique leaf colors blow my mind and remind me to slow down and take in the beauty around me. Not to mention the light cool breezes after a long hot summer are like a gift straight from heaven. The world seems to get just a bit more cozy and I couldn’t be happier about it.

The flavors

While I may not be an obsessed pumpkin spice lover, my apologies to those who are, I do love Starbucks transition to their fall menu. It’s filled with delicious goodies such as, my absolute favorite, the Caramel Apple Spice. If you haven’t tried it then you need to rush over to Starbucks right now and pick one up. It is fall in a cup!

Deepen your colors

Along with new fashion comes new beauty products. Fall is a time to deepen your lip colors, warm those tones and rosy up those cheeks. The fashionistas in New York City this fall are inviting some bold makeup looks from the runways, such as color blocking eyeliner and snogged lips. However those might not be for everyone. This fall find what makeup look you feel best in and rock it like none other! For me that’s a gold toned eye paired with a red matte lip.

Savor the season

As much as I love fall it seems to fly by in an instant. So savor every minute of it before the deep cold hits by doing some fun fall activities. Take a stroll through a pumpkin patch, pick some delicious apples at an apple orchard or cozy up by a bonfire. Whatever you decide to do, simply smile and remember your love for fall.
