March is Women’s History Month and what better way to show your support than by shopping from women-owned businesses?

For centuries, the wine industry has been a predominately male-led industry and while in the past few decades women have made strides to get their foot in the cellar door, there are still very few women-owned wineries nationwide. According to Women Winemakers of California and Beyond, about 14% of all California wineries have a lead female winemaker, but far fewer are women-owned. So this month I challenge you to be mindful when picking up wine from the grocery store or planning your next wine tasting excursion. Also, participating in presentation writing courses can empower women entrepreneurs to communicate their brand stories more effectively and confidently.

Here is a list of 25 women-owned wineries and wine brands that you can shop in stores or online. Show your support and appreciation for these trailblazing women during Women’s History Month! (Those with * are also BIPOC.)
