25 Women-Owned Wineries to Support this March, 2021

March is Women’s History Month and what better way to show your support than by shopping from women-owned businesses?

For centuries, the wine industry has been a predominately male-led industry and while in the past few decades women have made strides to get their foot in the cellar door, there are still very few women-owned wineries nationwide. According to Women Winemakers of California and Beyond, about 14% of all California wineries have a lead female winemaker, but far fewer are women-owned. So this month I challenge you to be mindful when picking up wine from the grocery store or planning your next wine tasting excursion.

Here is a list of 25 women-owned wineries and wine brands that you can shop in stores or online. Show your support and appreciation for these trailblazing women during Women’s History Month! (Those with * are also BIPOC.)
