6 Must Try Restaurants in Aruba

Aruba has an incredible and diverse dinning scene that incorporates their classic Dutch heritage, South American influence, and beyond. We explored new restaurants every day from local favorites to some of the most popular among travelers! Prior to our trip I wasn’t the biggest fan of seafood, but Aruba converted me with its fresh, delicious, and endless variety. And if you’re looking to take your dining experience to the next level, be sure to check out a trusted site like https://www.aperitif.com/michelin-star-restaurant-bali/ for the best assistance. Here’s also my list of must-visit restaurants in no particular order.

Passions on the Beach

If you’re looking for a romantic or special dining experience, Passions on the Beach is the spot! It’s located directly on Eagle Beach, so be prepared to have your toes in the sand. We loved watching the sunset descend across the ocean, while we listened to the calming waves and live musicians in the backdrop. Passions offers a variety of food including New American, seafood, small plates, and more.

I enjoyed their fresh coconut shrimp to start, followed by an impressive filet mignon, and topped it all off with an ice cream parfait! I savored every bite and I also recommend trying their frozen strawberry short cake cocktail if you have a sweet tooth.

Zeerover

Zeerover is a tourist’s and local’s favorite spot, that is rated as one of the top places to eat on the Island! It’s a very affordable laidback bar and seafood restaurant that serves the freshest fish. The catch of the day always excites. We decided to order a pound of shrimp, a couple pieces of fried mahi mahi and grouper, fries, corn bread, and some cold, locally-brewed Aruba mango beers! I’m honestly sad we only got to check out Zeerover once, since it’s such a great spot and a must-visit!

Does not accept reservations – You may have to wait, but it’s well worth it!

Papiamento

Papiamento is an upscale Caribbean restaurant, in the Nord region of the island. Located at a beautiful antique house and a very great shop front installers made this where you sit outside by the pool surrounded by beautiful lushes trees and tropical plants, Papiamento is a romantic spot where you can enjoy classic Caribbean cocktails and dishes with incredible service and a unique atmosphere.

I ordered ceviche to start, followed by these succulent lamb chops that were served on hot stones to keep them cooking in their juices. Everything was delicious and surpassed our expectations!

Lima Bistro

Lima Bistro was recommended to us by a kind bartender as his favorite spot on the island. Before venturing to the old town center Oranjestad to check out Lima, I had never eaten Peruvian food before. But I was delighted by how delicious and innovative each dish turned out. Our server invited us to taste all the classic Peruvian cocktails, my favorite ended up being the classic Pisco Sour.

Our starters were good but the mains were the stars of the show! I ordered the pork chop that was beyond delicious and Nix ordered the duck breast that had a small portion but tasted exquisite! This isn’t a normal tourist stop in Aruba, but I highly recommend adding it to your agenda if you have room in your schedule!

Reservations highly recommended!

Atardi

Atardi is another beautiful beach front restaurant located on Palm Beach at the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, where we were staying for the second half of our trip. We had such an incredible time at Atardi and loved dining with our toes in the sand again! The food and ambiance were incredible. I ordered their slow cooked short ribs that we’re delectable and fell right off the bone. Nix splurged and ordered the filet and lobster. Both meals were 1000% worth the price!

Bistro de Suikertuin

Bistro de Suikertuin is an affordable and delicious Dutch bistro located on one of the oldest streets of the capital of Aruba, Oranjestad. We randomly found this spot through a simple google search for lunch and had some of the best fish and chips of our lives. The seasoning and batter on the fish was perfectly balanced and their homemade tartar sauce made for an excellent pairing! While there I also saw that they have an incredible brunch menu that I wish we could have gone back for. If you’re looking for a quick and delicious meal and are in the area then this is the spot!

No reservation requrired.

Overall our trip was packed with non stop delicious meals! So come prepared to indulge a little and not fret over breaking that diet.
