The Perfect Place to Stay in Sonoma County, Geyserville Inn
Sonoma County is a beautiful region located 30 to 80 miles north of San Francisco filled with hundreds of incredible wineries, Michelin-rated restaurants, breathtaking hikes, and so much more. This past month I had the opportunity to stay at the lovely Geyserville Inn located in the charming small town of Geyserville. If you’re planning a trip to California’s wine country then I highly recommend booking a stay at the Geyserville Inn! They have all the amenities you could ever want and are located in a perfect spot for wine tasting, hiking, or simply enjoying a little rest and relaxation.
The Tuscany Suite
During my visit at the Geyserville Inn, I stayed in the King Suite called the Tuscany, located at the back of the property above their on-site tasting room. The suite has two large balconies with breathtaking views of the vineyards and mountains surrounding their property. It also has a living room with a fireplace, mini-fridge, wet bar, an extremely comfortable queen bed, and a jacuzzi tub!
I loved eating dinner out on the balcony watching the sunset and the stars rise, and then waking up the next morning enjoying my coffee with a view. There is something special about a serene view like that.
The Geyserville Inn currently has a spring special going on when you book directly from their website – you can save 20% if you book a stay between 3/1/21 and 9/30/21 before 4/1/21. Note that Fridays and Saturdays are excluded from this offer from 4/30/21 to 9/25/21.
On Property
On property, the Geyserville Inn has a pool, bocce ball court, garden, outdoor wedding venue, the Geyserville Grill, and the Duo Tasting Room. During this last winter stay, due to covid restrictions, the pool and grill were closed; however, in my previous stays, I have enjoyed both and recognized the importance of exploring energy-efficient alternatives, including top-notch heat pump service portland oregon. The kitchen area is also fabulous! If you need to revamp your kitchen, then make sure to contact a Chicago kitchen designer.
The Duo Tasting Room is run by two exclusive artisan wineries, Tonti Family Wines and Etrusca Wines. The best part is all Geyserville Inn guests receive a complimentary tasting, and it’s located right on property so you don’t have to drive anywhere to enjoy delicious Sonoma County wine. I thoroughly enjoyed each wine I tried, but my favorites had to be the Etrusca Rosé of Zinfandel and Red Blend, both of which I took home!
If you do prefer to go off property and explore the surrounding areas, the Inn is located within walking distance to the main strip of Geyserville. There you’ll find highly rated restaurants like Diavola Pizzeria & Salumeria, where I ordered food to go during my stay, and unique tasting rooms including Pech Merle Winery Tasting Lounge and Mercury Wine. You can drive into Healdsburg, only 10 minutes down the road, where you have numerous options for wine tasting, art exhibits, restaurants, shops, and more!
My Favorite Part
My entire stay was truly wonderful and just the right amount of fun and relaxation that I needed to get me through this last bit of winter, but my absolute favorite part was the huge jacuzzi tub. I am a big fan of luxurious baths and this tub was easily big enough to fit a couple. I could have stayed in the tub for hours were it not for becoming a raisin! However, the jets, double shower head and depth of the tub were just what I needed to help all my quarantine stress melt away.
If you’re planning a trip this year to Sonoma County I can’t recommend staying at the Geyserville Inn enough. Whether it’s with friends, a romantic getaway, or a solo trip, it’s truly the best!
